Math & Science

Phoenix, AZ

Hello! My name is David Hacker. I have a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Arizona State University. After graduating in 2018, I taught chemistry and physics at the high school level for just over 3 years. I first fell in love with teaching through tutoring for friends and family in my high school and college years. Seeing the light on a student’s face as they grow in their knowledge and understanding is what I strive for. I would love to help your child find this knowledge and understanding as well as curiosity and love for the beautiful world of math and science!

Hello! I am Joanna Finger. I've been an educator my entire life and could not love it more. In 2002, after graduating with Honors from University of Arizona, I started a career at EDUPRIZE SCHOOLS (the first charter school in Arizona) as both an elementary teacher and middle school teacher - grades 3rd-8th. I love teaching all subjects, but I specialize in math. I taught at EDUPRIZE for 10 wonderful years. In 2006, I completed my Master's in Education and graduated Summa Cum Laude. I received my degree in Curriculum & Instruction. Finally, I have been a full-time tutor for the past 11 years. I love my job and my kids more than life. I have much success as I teach to the whole child - academically, emotionally, and socially. I make learning fun. :)
