Understanding who your student is, will allow you to find ease when talking with them about their school work. Many parents are familiar with what learning style their student is, while some parents haven't even thought about it. If you are unaware of how your student learns, conversations with them can often sound something like this, "Why are you not getting this?... We went over this question more than 5 times now!" Sound familiar?
Well, then this is a great time to learn more about how your student takes in information and how you can find the best way for them to learn and grow!
First things first, it's important to know the different styles of learning.
The 4 Most Common:
1. Auditory: Reading out loud, speak up in class, great at explaining
2. Kinesthetic: Tactile learners, great at sports or dancing, involved learning
3. Visual: Doodlers, note-takers, list makers
4. Logical: Reason Seekers, math lovers, chart makers
Now that you are aware of the different types you can have your student take this short quiz and see what type of learner they are!
